Multi-function end piece

Whilst the outgoing model that the new D2 replaces had a manual fold-out end piece, the new Disto D2 has an automatic version. In other words, whether you're taking measurements from corners, edges or grooves within a surface, simply extending the end piece tells the Disto that you're measuring from that point. The unit automatically takes the position of the end piece into account and eliminates costly mistakes.

Super compact but durable

Only marginally larger than its sibling, the D110, the all-new D2 measures just 116 x 44 x 26mm in size - quite incredibly small considering the advanced functionality packed inside. Despite its small size the 2016 D2 is highly durable and fit to face almost anything the modern work site can throw at it. IP54-rated, the D2 is protected against water splashes and dust ingress.

Fast and simple with advanced functionality

A real step in convenience and range from its predecessor, the all new D2 makes taking length, height and width measurements a breeze thanks to its ergonomic case, intuitive controls and super-clear 3 line, backlit digital display. Other functions include...

  • Timer function (set a timer that automatically takes a measurement when triggered)
  • Stake out function (enter a set distance into the Disto and the unit will beep and display visually when you reach that distance)
  • Min/max function (combined with the fold out end piece the user can get right into corners for perfect diagonal measurements)
  • Pythagoras function (for taking indirect height or width estimations)
  • Painter function (add up the area of several walls/surfaces - ideal for estimating requirements for floor/wall coverings etc.)
  • Add/subtract (add or subtract measurements from each other)

Bluetooth Smart connectivity with free Leica DISTO Sketch App

The advanced Bluetooth Smart v4.0 connectivity built into the all-new Leica Disto D2 gives the user the ability to transfer their measurement data to their smart phone or tablet allows the user to transfer their measurements directly to their smart phone or tablet and, from their mobile device, straight to their home or office computers without ever leaving site. What's more, once connected to a compatible phone or tablet, the user can download and use the free Leica Disto Sketch app which produces simple floor/wall plans and even allows the user to overlay measurements directly on top of photographs.
