This dual frequency signal generator has been designed specifically to work with the Cable Detection range of EZiCAT cable avoidance tools. For those needing a signal generator for one of the 'xf' (additional low frequency) EZiCAT models please consider the t100xf or t300xf instead.
Anyone intending to use a cable avoidance tool to its maximum ability should always use it in conjunction with a signal generator such as this. Only a fraction of a CAT's abilities can be exploited when used in isolation. A signal generator enables the user to trace a buried cable or metallic pipe that does not commonly hold a charge. By emitting a signal along the pipe or cable the service can then be traced using any of the EZiCAT range.
Tough and built to last, the EZiTEX t100 comes enclosed in a waterproof (IP65 rated), impact resistant outer case which is designed to take the knocks and scrapes that are everyday occurrences on a modern building site. Despite this durability, this unit is still light and easily carried.
The easy to use, logical controls are mounted on the outside of the case so that it avoids the possibility of water ingress during use. What's more, the integral test function assesses the unit's functionality before use, ensuring that it is in full working order before any tracing takes place.
