Stanley Tylon Tape Measures

Perhaps not quite so recognisable as the ever-popular Powerlock range of tape measures, Stanley's Tylon tape measures (frequently referred to as Stanley Pocket Tapes) are nevertheless hugely popular in the UK thanks to their combination of Stanley quality, accuracy (all Tylon tapes are EC Class II accurate), and great, low prices.

The bi-material cases are, to some, even more comfortable and ergonomic than either the Powerlock or FatMax ranges thanks to their small size, rounded edges and bi-material (ABS plastic and rubberised grip/cushion) construction. They fit snugly into the palm of your hand and feel considerably more expensive and high end than their price would suggest. Not only does the rubber-like case make the Stanley Tylon range of tapes more comfortable to use, it also provides added practicality by providing an anti-slip grip and a durable cushion to guard against damage from those inevitable knocks and drops.

The Tylon blade coating provides class leading durability and wear resistance, far exceeding the performance of a more conventional lacquer blade coating. The matt blade finish also minimises reflection and glare making the markings so much easier to read in bright sunlight. All Stanley Tylon tape measures feature both metric and imperial measurements for convenience and are available in 3 metre (10 feet), 5 metre (16 feet) and 8 metre (26 feet) lengths. The blade is held in place by a positive-feeling blade lock to prevent slipping whilst measuring and the blade itself is tipped by a corrosion resistant 'Tru-Zero', self-adjustable end hook.
